Paladins Kick Offf Monstercat Crossover Update With Artist-Inspired Skins, Music and Voiceovers

Paladins and Monstercat are taking electronic music and video game crossovers to the next level. Paladins, the popular free-to-play first-person shooter, just launched a new Monstercat-powered update that infuses the spirit of the record label with the action of the game. The new update is centered around a “crossover pass” which players can purchase using in-game currency. For those unfamiliar with the game, a crossover pass works similarly to what other games may call a “battle pass.” This means that those who purchase the crossover will have exclusive in-game rewards to unlock that are not available to players without the pass. Paladins x Monstercat Crossover Pass Developers have shared some highlights of what to expect from the new update. While some games have ...

HHW Gaming Exclusive: ‘Halo The Series’ Showrunner & Executive Producer Speak About Making Better Video Game Movies & TV Shows

Video Games developed into films, and now television shows should be a homerun for studios because they are rich with source material to work with, but as we all know for a long time, that hasn’t been the case for many years. Thanks to shows like Halo The Series and other successful movies based on video games, that trend seems to be coming to an end. Halo The Series is just one day away from premiering on Paramount+, but the show is already polarizing, dividing franchise fans. The show, which is nine years in the making, follows Pablo Schreiber’s Master Chief and the Silver Team on a new timeline, moving away from the messy one we have experienced in the insanely-popular Halo video games. The idea the game is not sticking with the storyline, Schreiber’s version of the John 117 taken off h...

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Brings a Magical New Entry to the Borderlands Universe

While Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands may not be exactly like the Borderlands games that Gearbox Software fans have come to know and love over the last 13 years, the latest title in the franchise fuses aspects of what Borderlands fans appreciate most — like the humor, the characters and the sweet, sweet loot — into a genre the games haven’t yet explored: high fantasy. Taking place as a tabletop RPG narrated by the frenzied mind of everyone’s favorite explosives-loving 13-year-old girl, Tiny Tina, Wonderlands brings magic, knights, and the whole fantasy shabang to Borderlands’ signature gameplay and style. The game expands upon the fan-favorite Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC from Borderlands 2 (which was later turned into a standalone title in preparation for Wonderlands), and is every bit ...

OlliOlli World Is Far From An Average Skateboarding Game

When people talk about skateboarding video games, there’s generally one name that they mention — and that name isn’t OlliOlli World. But truthfully, OlliOlli World puts a wildly different spin roughly based on the genre that Tony Hawk popularized. Part skateboarding romp and part action-platformer, the latest from British developer Roll7 takes players through a whole new adventure through the OlliOlli universe that began with 2014’s game of the same name. Compared to the previous two titles, OlliOlli World ditches the quaint pixel art for a massively expanded world, character creation, top-notch electronic soundtrack and adorable new art style that shows off the colorful setting of Radlandia the team has built. But while it may look family friendly, the 100ish levels of skateboard platform...
