Source: Clive Rose / Getty It has not been a good month for the Esports community. Back in May, EVO made the decision to take its international fighting game tournaments online due to the coronavirus pandemic. Allegations against Cuellar were brought to light and hit Twitter following a wave of accusations levied against other Esports pros, and members of the gaming community surfaced. We reported last week that multiple Super Smash Bros. pros were called out for engaging in sexual activity with minors and issued apologies on social media for their behavior. Refused have released a new song, “The Ballad of Buck Ravers”, under their video game guise Samurai. The hardcore punks will appear as the fictional band in the upcoming video game Cyberpunk 2077, which is now due out on November 19th. “The Ballad of Buck Ravers” is the third Samurai track we’ve heard following “Chippin’ In” and “Never Fade Away”, both released last year. Fortunately for Refused fans, the band only changed in name for Cyberpunk 2077, which took the idea of The Shape of Punk to Come quite literally, even tabbing Refused to be its in-game band. Musically, this is classic Refused, with frontman Dennis Lyxzén shouting and wailing above aggressively smashed chords: “Lost another day to pointless drudgery / The slow chipping away/ Of my autonomy”. Refused’s vision of 2077 sounds...

Konami has been looking for a hit since Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but failed to follow up that success dropping Metal Gear Survive and Contra: Rogue Corps, which were panned by critics and gamers. Rightfully so. Instead of one of its big-name titles delivering the goods, Konami has got itself a win with an indie title from Ukuza Inc. The brainchild of David Stanley, Skelattack, is a unique, beautifully designed game that features lovable characters, well thought out levels complimented with a charming story. In the game, you take control of the hero Skully on the eve of his remembrance day. On this special occasion, the undead citizens of t...
