In a spoof that mimics commercials for nebulous drugs that treat unnamed issues, Dave Grohl reflects on a decade-old coffee addiction used to impair “solid bowel movements” leave him with “noxious coffee breath.” In his (excellent) version of a serious/sad TV voiceover, Grohl laments, “I found myself doing anything for the fix. My roast grew darker and darker until I finally hit pot bottom. I couldn’t be there for the ones I love when they needed me the most.” But wait, there’s a cure! Zappa Trailer Previews Eclectic Musician’s Upcoming Documentary
ZAPPA, the forthcoming documentary about eclectic musical legend Frank Zappa, released its first trailer today (Oct. 28), ahead of the film’s video-on-demand release date of Nov. 27. Belle and Sebastian Announce What to Look For In Summer
Belle and Sebastian weren’t able to hit the road this year, but they’ll be taking fans back to their 2019 tour with a new live double album, What to Look for in Summer. Two Minutes to Late Night continues to celebrate Halloween with an Iron Maiden-ized version of the mosh-worthy tune “Dead Man’s Party” originally done by Los Angeles-based new wave legends Oingo Boingo. Dethklok guitarist Nili Brosh — who also tours with Oingo Boingo leader Danny Elfman — plays on the tune while wearing a Nightmare Before Christmas facemask, a nod to Elfman’s soundtrack work on the film. Other musicians include Protest the Hero drummer Michael Ieradi and vocalist Rody Walker, along with bassist Pete Green of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra and Dethklok.
