Zoë Kravitz spilled the tea in a new interview about quarantining during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic with none other than Taylor Swift. “She was my pod,” the actress told GQ of hunkering down with the superstar and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn as she filmed Matt Reeves’ The Batman in the U.K. “She was a very important part of being in London, just having a friend that I could see and that would make me home-cooked meals and dinner on my birthday.” For her part, Swift had equally nice things to say about her pal, telling the magazine via email, “Zoë’s sense of self is what makes her such an exciting artist, and such an incredible friend. She has this very honest inner compass, and the result is art and life without compromising who she is.” Part of that art included the duo collab...

Zoë Kravitz brought her signature ’90s-inspired style to the stage at “Saturday Night Live” on 12 March. “The Batman” star showcased her effortless style in pared-down looks, when she wasn’t wearing costumes for skits that ran the gamut from Princess Tiana’s lily pad gown to a bubblegum pink maid-of-honour dress at her best friend’s wedding. Working with stylist Andrew Mukamal for the promos, the actress set the mood in pieces from The Row, including a scuba camisole and leather belt look. And when she emerged for her monologu...
Zoë Kravitz arrived at “The Batman” premiere in New York and certainly dressed the part as Catwoman. Kravitz, who plays the character Selina Kyle alongside Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, wore a custom Oscar de la Renta dress with the silhouette of two black cats at the bust. Kravitz’s dress draws the perfect line between camp and elegant. The custom floor-length, strapless black gown features a plunging keyhole at the bust that goes straight down to her navel. The opening at the bust is fastened by corset-inspired lacing, and the silhouette of each kitty is perfectly positioned over each breast. Eagle-eyed fashion critic and Instagram account Diet Prada quickly spotted Oscar de la Renta’s design reference thanks to research done by vintage expert Cherie Balch of S...

Superhero flicks are notoriously shrouded in mystery prior to release, but as Matt Reeves’ The Batman approaches its March 4th premiere, more details about the film have begun to emerge. Over the weekend, Warner Bros. shared new photos from the film, including closer looks at two of Batman’s biggest foes, Paul Dano’s Riddler and Colin Farrell’s Penguin. Dano’s Riddler gives off a Zodiac-killer vibe in this Batman adaptation, dressed head to toe in army green and covered up with a terrifying mask Penguin, meanwhile, maintains his classic purple suit. Other new photos show the villains in action, as the maniacal Riddler wields some duct tape and the Gentleman of Crime consults his paperwork. It’s not a lot to go on, but it’s still fun to see. HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Warner Bros. / The Batman A surprise new trailer for The Batman is a great late Christmas present. Dubbed “The Bat and The Cat,” this latest trailer gives us our best look at the dynamic between Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne/Batman and Zoe Kravitz’s Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. It also gives us more insight into The Riddler’s diabolical plan for the Dark Knight and his beloved Gotham City. This surprising look at the highly-anticipated film opens up with Bruce Wayne speaking with Jayme Lawson’s Bella Reál. The mayoral candidate doesn’t bite her tongue when she accuses the recluse billionaire playboy of not doing enough for Gotham City. The irony is she has no idea he’s out here beating the daylight out of crooks and cleaning up the streets. Related Stories...

Warner Bros. closed out DC Fandome on Saturday night with their highly anticipated panel for Matt Reeves’ The Batman. As expected, the event saw our most comprehensive look at the forthcoming re-imagining, which stars Robert Pattinson as The Dark Knight. Gorgeously soundtracked to Nirvana’s dour “Something in the Way”, the film’s first trailer reveals a Gotham City awash in the kind of realism that once fueled Christopher Nolan’s universe. Yet unlike his trilogy, Reeves’ vision carries a more dystopian, punk rock edge that feels like a DIY deconstruction of Frank Miller’s Year One (though, according to Reeves, the story actually takes place in the second year of Bruce Wayne’s life as Batman). Story-wise, it appears there’s a creepy murder mystery that’s sending Jeffrey Wright’s Commis...
