Tame Impala is opening this week’s Billboard 200 at No. 4 with Deadbeat.
Kevin Parker’s first studio album in five years debuts with a total of 70,000 equivalent album units in its first week. This includes 37,000 in album sales (No. 2 on Top Album Sales chart), 33,000 in streaming equivalent album units (41.72 million on-demand streams of the songs) and the rest in track equivalent album units. Deadbeat marks Tame Impala’s third top five entry, following The Slow Rush in 2020 and Currents in 2015.
Elsewhere on the chart, Taylor Swift holds the No. 1 spot for the third week straight followed by the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack at No. 2 and Morgan Wallen at No. 3. Sabrina Carpenter remains at No. 5, while Cardi B and Olivia Dean move down to Nos. 6 and 7, respectively. Making up the rest of this week’s top 10 are SZA, Wallen again and Alex Warren at Nos. 8, 9 and 10.
