Trump Says Diddy Wrote Him a Letter Asking for a Pardon, But He Won't Be Getting One

Donald Trump has handed out pardons like hotcakes in the early part of his second term, but Sean Combs will apparently not be on the receiving end of one. In an interview with the New York Times, the president confirmed that the disgraced hip-hop mogul “asked me for a pardon… through a letter.” However, a pardon is not currently on the table.

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Trump previously said that the fact Combs was “very hostile to me” during his first term would factor into his decision on whether to grant him a pardon.

Combs is currently appealing his conviction.
