Warner Bros. has dropped the first teaser for Wuthering Heights. The adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in the lead roles, with Emerald Fennell (Saltburn, Promising Young Woman) directing.
The one-and-a-half-minute visual teases the intense and passionate yet illicit romance between Robbie’s Catherine and Elordi’s Heathcliff. Also briefly seen in the teaser is Edgar (Shazad Latif), an evident foe of Heathcliff’s. Playing in the background is Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek‘s “Everything is romantic,” adding to the tension of the teaser’s short cuts.
Joining Robbie, Elordi and Latif in the cast are Hong Chau, Alison Oliver Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell. Both Fennell and Robbie are producing alongside Josey McNamara. Anthony Willis will score the film with Charli XCX creating original songs.
