The first teaser trailer for Sakamoto Days Season 2 has dropped, offering a glimpse into the next installment of the popular anime.
Adapting Yuto Suzuki’s Weekly Shonen Jump hit manga, the narrative picks right back up with the delightfully portly Taro Sakamoto trying to maintain his strict “no-kill” family policy while the entire global assassin underworld continues to pursue the massive bounty on his head. Unlike the lighter beats of Season 1, the new footage leans further into espionage and infiltration, with Taro Sakamoto and Shin entering JCC, the assassin training institution, while operating under disguises.
The teaser highlights the series’ shift toward the JCC storyline, showcasing the assassin academy setting, tactical encounters and the balance of absurd comedy with high-speed action that defines Sakamoto Days.
Following a highly successful debut season, Netflix confirmed that Sakamoto Days Season 2 is scheduled for a January 2027 release window.
