Weezer Announce New Early Demos and Rarities Collection 1192 for Record Store Day 2026

Weezer Announce New Early Demos and Rarities Collection 1192 for Record Store Day 2026

Weezer have announced 1192, a new collection of early-career demos and rarities that have been remastered and compiled for Record Store Day 2026 on April 18th.

The newly-unearthed album was built from the band’s very first studio sessions and discovered by founding bassist Matt Sharp while digging through a trove of “lost-album” master tapes. Recorded with the original lineup including guitarist Jason Cropper, the sessions feature raw early takes on future staples like “Say It Ain’t So” and “Undone (The Sweater Song),” the recordings that helped land Weezer their record deal ahead of the Blue Album. With Sharp producing and Joe Chiccarelli mixing, the material was remixed from tape to vinyl in a fully analog process, resulting in a standalone chapter that reframes the opening moments of Weezer’s story.
