Wizkid Delivers Landmark G.O.A.T Performance at Tafawa Balewa Square

The Grammy-winning superstar headlined FutureFest with the boldly titled “G.O.A.T.: The Greatest of All Time Experience,” a show that has since dominated conversations for its scale, ambition, and execution.
TBS, a venue synonymous with defining moments in Nigerian entertainment, once again proved why it holds legendary status. Over the weekend, it became the heartbeat of FutureFest, a forward-looking cultural festival that spotlighted the evolving future of African music. From the opening notes of “Jaiye Jaiye,” the atmosphere shifted instantly. Wizkid led fans on a journey through his catalogue, seamlessly blending early-career favourites with era-defining hits. Songs like In My Bed, On Top Your Matter, Pull Over, Thank You, No Lele, The Matter, Final (Baba Nla), Beat of Life, Soco, Karamo, Ololufe, Show You the Money, and Soweto Baby kept the massive crowd fully locked in.
Nostalgia hit hardest when classics such as Ojuelegba, Slow Down, and Don’t Dull rang out, drawing deafening sing-alongs and closing the night on a victorious note. But it was “Money Constant,” currently one of the most dominant songs across Africa, that truly sent the venue into chaos, with the entire square moving as one.

The night also came loaded with special appearances. Tiwa Savage joined Wizkid for crowd-pleasing performances of Ma Lo and Dis Love, Young Jonn stepped out for Cash Flow, and CDQ brought raw street energy with Nowo E Soke.
