Global rap trailblazer Yeat has officially shared his highly anticipated double album, ADL (A Dangerous Lyfe / A Dangerous Love). Released via Lyfestyle Corporation, Field Trip, and Capitol Records, the project marks a significant milestone that spans genres and eight years of musical evolution.
The ambitious double album consists of 21 tracks, ushering in what is described as his boldest and most cinematic era yet. The project boasts an eclectic roster of new contributors, seamlessly blending sounds with Elton John on “Lose Control,” Grimes and NBA YoungBoy on “Face The Flamë,” and Kid Cudi on “NO MORE GHOSTS”. Returning collaborators also make their mark on the tracklist, with Don Toliver appearing on “Griddlë” and Joji featuring on the track “Back Home”.
The release was preceded by a non-stop rollout fueled by several major cultural moments. In February, a prosthetic arm hung from a New York City taxi alongside a bumper sticker reading “LYFE IS DANGEROUS,” sparking widespread anticipation among fans. This stunt was quickly followed by Yeat’s first sit-down interview in five years with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, historical official album box sets and CDs released in collaboration with Nike, and a full-page feature spread in the New York Times.
