’90s Range Rover Classic Gets an LS3 Corvette Engine

'90s Range Rover Classic Gets an LS3 Corvette Engine

Thanks to ECD Auto Design and its Project Oliver Plaid, collectors can now enjoy the timeless machine that is the 1990s Range Rover Classic but with a modern twist — a Corvette LS3 engine under the hood.

ECD, one of the largest Land Rover restoration companies in the automotive world, has become primarily known for its luxury builds and bespoke offerings of examples like Defenders, Range Rovers and E-Types.

As the name of Project Oliver Plaid might suggest, the Range Rover Classic, painted in Bentley Alpine Green Metallic features a vintage interior with tasteful plaid accents throughout.

Regarding the latest client build, ECD CEO and co-founder Scott Wallace said “When a client returns to us for a second build, we’re thrilled to work with them to bring their wildest fantasy to life – especially when they know everything we’re capable of. Project Oliver Plaid pays homage to all the great 20th century Range Rover Classics before it – with the modern twist ECD specializes in.”

Details found in and outside of the vehicle include an era-specific grille, roof rack and bumpers, as well as a Bentley color-matched tan leather interior, Dakota Digital gauges and silver accents at the exterior.

Collectors looking for more information on ECD’s LS3 Range Rover Classic or interested in their own builds should visit the custom builder’s official site.
