A representative for Phil Collins is denying a rumor that the legendary drummer is in hospice care, however, did confirm that he is currently in the hospital after undergoing knee surgery.
The unsubstantiated rumor that Collins, 74, is in hospice care went viral on social media last week, but a representative for the drummer confirmed to TMZ that the claim is untrue.
Collins has been open about his health struggles in recent years. Nerve damage stemming from a 2007 spinal injury has prevented him from drumming, and in an interview earlier this year, he said he had considered recording new music but was unable to do so because he’s been “very sick.”
