Ever since his Lollapalooza set, Dominic Fike has been locked in on album mode. His set at the storied Chicago music festival made headlines, with Fike bringing out his son to the stage for a few songs. This was followed up this week by the unofficial release of “All Hands on Deck,” accompanied by a music video that compiles footage of the musician and his son from the Lolla set. Just yesterday, Fike officially kick-started his next rollout when he shared the link to his reimagined website, rebranded through the lens of his new project – confirmed to be called Rocket.
Today, Fike shared the first three songs from the longform release (taking the form of a mixtape) on streaming services, including the Instagram-premiered “All Hands on Deck,” followed by “Aftermath – Edit” and “Smile.” The musician’s first new solo offering since last summer’s 14 minutes EP, Rocket, per Apple Music’s tracklist, is confirmed to clock in at 12 tracks in total, with the three now-out songs leading the lineup.
Other titles include “Great Pretender,” “David Lyons,” and, closing cut, “Still Feel It.”
