Paul McCartney attended Oasis’ reunion tour stop at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles on Saturday (September 6th), and he had one word to describe the evening: “Fabulous.”
The Beatle was captured taking a video of Oasis’ Noel Gallagher performing “Little By Little” during the show, and as the Oasis Mania twitter account notes, he was the only one standing in his section taking in the Heathen Chemistry cut. Later on, when exiting the show and being greeted by paparazzi, a fan asked McCartney how he liked the show, to which McCartney replied “Fabulous!” and flashed an ‘A-Okay’ hand gesture.

Oasis have been unapologetic about their love of McCartney and The Beatles as far as influences go, but that love hasn’t always been reciprocated. In 1996, after Noel compared Oasis’ status to be bigger than The Beatles, McCartney hit back at them in a 1997 interview with the Irish Times: “They’re derivative, and they think too much of themselves,” he said, “They mean nothing to me.” Gallagher eventually retracted his statement, and it seems McCartney has warmed back up to the Mancunian act as well. As for Noel’s brother Liam, he remarked in an interview that despite some initial friction between the two, he found McCartney to be “a dream” and recounted a hilarious story about a misunderstanding involving margaritas.
