GRAMMY winner and The Internet‘s Syd has shared a new single titled “GMFU,” released via Free Lunch and Warner Records.
The track was produced by the legendary Rodney Jerkins and features acclaimed artist Raphael Saadiq on bass. On “GMFU,” Syd’s voice, which can shift from a hushed falsetto to a no-nonsense flow, calls out an ex over a vintage organ melody. This song is a strong contrast to her earlier lovelorn single, “Die For This,” released this summer.
In addition to the new single, Syd is set to join Renee Rapp on her fall US tour. The two are set to hit up areas such as New York City, Boston, Minneapolis, Portland, San Francisco and more from late September to mid-October.
