10 months since the third anime season for MF Ghost was announced for a 2026 release, a new promotional trailer has finally been dropped with a confirmed premiere date for January 4.
Based on Shuichi Shigeno’s manga, MF Ghost serves as a sequel to the legendary Initial D, carrying forward its focus on street racing culture. Following the successful runs of its first two seasons, the new trailer offers an intense glimpse of the rest of the Peninsula Manazuru race.
A new eurobeat-inspired theme song is also previewed in the latest trailer. Titled “TIMELESS POWER feat. MOTSU,” the new opening theme will once again be performed by Yu Serizawa, featuring MOTSU, an ex-rapper from the unit that provided numerous theme songs for the original Initial D anime.
MF Ghost Season 3 is confirmed to release on January 4, 2026, across a number of TV networks in Japan. A release outside of Japan is yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.
