WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark has officially etched her name deeper into the basketball history books following a monumental performance for the Indiana Fever. The electrifying guard secured a 110-107 victory over the Seattle Storm on Friday night, delivering a masterclass performance that shattered multiple franchise and league records.
Clark erupted for a career-high 45 points, shooting an incredibly efficient 11-of-18 from the field and 6-of-10 from three-point range. Complimenting her relentless scoring attack, she dished out 10 assists, officially recording the first-ever 40-point, 10-assist game in WNBA history. The 45-point total stands as the highest single-game scoring output in Indiana Fever franchise history. Defensively, she anchored the squad by logging four steals and two blocked shots, including a critical late-game block on Seattle rookie Flau’jae Johnson that led to a clutch, tie-breaking three-pointer with 39.1 seconds remaining.
Beyond the single-game heroics, the matchup served as a major milestone for Clark’s young professional career. During the second quarter, she sank her 200th career three-pointer, becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach the milestone. Achieving the feat in just 74 games, Clark surpassed the previous record of 81 games set by basketball legend Katie Smith. The backcourt tandem of Clark and Kelsey Mitchell proved unstoppable down the stretch, as Mitchell contributed 30 points of her own to help secure the hard-fought victory.
