The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Daemons of the Shadow Realm (known in Japan as Yomi no Tsugai) is finally approaching its debut. Based on the manga by Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa, the series has locked in a spring premiere date, marking one of the season’s most anticipated releases.

This news is accompanied by a new promotional trailer that highlights its high-octane action and musical direction, previewing new original theme songs by popular J-pop artists. The opening theme is confirmed to be “Tobu Toki” (Time to Fly) by Vaundy, while the ending theme “Tobō yo” (Let’s Fly) is by yama.

Produced by the renowned studio Bones, the anime will air for two consecutive cours, ensuring a substantial initial run for fans. The production is led by director Masahiro Andō, famous for his work on Sword of the Stranger, with series scripts overseen by Noboru Takagi and music composed by Kenichiro Suehiro. The newly released video also unveiled additional cast members, including Takako Honda and Rikiya Koyama as the daemons “Left” and “Right,” who join the leads Kenshō Ono and Yume Miyamoto.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm is set to premiere on April 4 in Japan and will stream globally via Crunchyroll.
