Martin Short has understandably postponed a handful of his upcoming comedy tour dates with Steve Martin following recent news of his daughter Katherine’s death from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
All three remaining February shows of the tour, which was set to pick up on Friday in Milwaukee, have been postponed.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Steve Martin & Martin Short’s show, originally scheduled for Friday, February 27th in Milwaukee, has been postponed,” reads a statement on Miller High Life Theatre’s website. “Tickets will be honored for a future rescheduled date. We will be in contact with further news when it is available.”

The website for Minneapolis’ Orpheum Theatre, where Martin and Short were scheduled to perform two shows on Saturday, February 28th, features a similar message.
Katherine Short’s passing at the age of 42 was confirmed on Tuesday in a statement that read in part, “The Short family is devastated by this loss and asks for privacy at this time. Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”
Martin and Short’s next stop on March 13th at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, remains on the schedule, as do the remainder of their upcoming shows through early December. See the full list of their dates below, and get tickets here.
