TLC’s Chilli says she is “not MAGA” follow revelations that she donated to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign during the 2024 election.
FEC records recently uncovered by MeidasTouch and The Independent showed that Chilli donated to Trump, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz during the 2024 election cycle.

Altogether, the R&B singer donated just under $900, with the majority going toward Trump’s reelection efforts.
In response to the revelation, Chilli posted a statement on social media Saturday stressing that she is “not MAGA and do not support any of the many policies that are causing great harm to the American people.” The TLC singer also claimed that she “did not read the fine print” when making the donations, believing that they were “supporting causes against human trafficking and for veterans.”
Additionally, Chilli shared a video message addressing her repost of an Instagram post that falsely claimed former first lady Michelle Obama was transgender. Chilli blamed the repost on “not being very computer savvy” and claimed she had “no clue that this repost had happened until I started getting phone calls and text messages from everybody.”She also stressed that she has the “utmost respect and admiration for Michelle Obama” and “would never say or do anything that is disrespectful to her or to any woman.”

While Chilli has never explicitly spoke about Trump publicly, she did dismiss the Black Live Matters protest in a 2017 interview, saying, “For me, all lives matter.”
