Michael Mann is finally set to begin production on Heat 2 this fall, with an all-star cast led by Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to a new report from TheWrap, Bale is set to star as Vincent Hanna, taking over the role Al Pacino played in Mann’s original 1995 heist thriller. DiCaprio will play Chris Shiherlis, the character originated by Val Kilmer.
They’ll be joined by Stephen Graham as Neil McCauley, the role previously played by Robert De Niro, while Adam Driver is in talks to portray the film’s villain, Wardell. The role of the female lead (the role portrayed by Ashley Judd in the original film) is still being sorted.
