A24 and director Chris Rock have officially unveiled the debut trailer for Misty Green. The upcoming Hollywood-set drama marks Rock’s fourth feature as a director and his first time behind the camera in over a decade.
Starring Rosalind Eleazar in the titular role, the narrative follows a once-promising actress whose Hollywood career has stalled after personal and professional setbacks. As she fights to reclaim her standing in an industry quick to forget its stars, an unexpected opportunity from her past offers a potential path toward reinvention. The film represents a shift toward grounded emotional drama for Rock, while still weaving in sharp commentary on ambition and show business.
Rock pulls multi-hyphenate duty as writer, director, and co-star alongside a stacked ensemble cast that includes Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick and Topher Grace. Kaluuya stars as Misty’s brother in his first on-screen acting role since 2022’s Nope, while Rock plays a pivotal figure from Misty’s past attempting to aid her comeback.
Misty Green will hold its world premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival in September before arriving in theaters this October via A24.
