Apple’s Upcoming AR Glasses May Cost Upward of $2,000 USD

Apple’s Upcoming AR Glasses May Cost Upward of $2,000 USD

Apple has long been rumored to be working on a set of augmented reality glasses, and now there are finally reports about its pricing. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the tech giant will be offering the headset for upwards of $2,000 USD, placing it at the top end of the current AR and VR market. Despite the price tag, Kuo added that Apple is planning on shipping more than 1.5 million units in 2023 alone.

As for its specs, reports suggest that the device will carry two 8K displays with advanced eye-tracking technology that significantly elevates it from any other AR glasses you can buy right now. There’ll also be more than 12 cameras that’ll track your hand movements.

Kuo added that Apple is already developing a second generation of AR glasses and they’ll be released in the first half of 2025, followed by a more affordable model later in the year.

As usual, Apple has yet to announce anything official itself, so those interested should stay tuned for more updates to come.

In other tech-related news, Xiaomi has unveiled its very first humanoid robot prototype.
