Over the last few years, BACARDÍ’s The Sound of Rum has brought new tracks, unique collaborations, and special performances to listeners across the globe. Now, adding to its bountiful portfolio, the brand links up with Dutch music label Top Notch to release two exclusive remixes.
Dropping in celebration of Top Notch’s 30th anniversary, the one-of-a-kind project focuses on two tracks by label mates Frenna and Sef, with NEMS and Yung Felix bringing a new twist to their popular sounds. In her remix, NEMS reimagines Frenna’s “My Love” with amapiano and dancehall beats while Yung Felix is set to release his remix on one of Sef’s singles in the coming weeks.
“BACARDÍ has been about freedom and self-expression for over 160 years. That same energy you find back in the Dutch music scene,” shared BACARDÍ Brand Director Robin de Bruijn in an official statement. “With The Sound of Rum x 30 Years Top Notch, it becomes clear that some classics — just like BACARDÍ and Cola — never go out of style and fit every season; they simply get a new sound.”
Alongside the two remixes, BACARDÍ and Top Notch have captured two documentary-style features going behind the scenes in the studio. These videos will launch over the next two months to give fans an exclusive look at the creative processes of the contributing artists.
Be sure to head to Spotify to listen to the first remix by NEMS.
