BTS is opening this week’s Billboard 200 at No. 1 with Proof.

The group’s first anthology album debuted with a total of 314,000 equivalent album units, including 266,000 in album sales, 36,000 in streaming equivalent album units (52.84 million on-demand streams of the tracks) and 12,000 in track equivalent album units. Proof is 2022’s largest week for a group album so far.

Elsewhere on the chart are Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, Post Malone and Future at Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively, while Morgan Wallen, Kendrick Lamar and Olivia Rodrigo make up Nos. 6, 7 and 8. SZA’s Ctrl jumps up to No. 9 from No. 35 after she released a deluxe version in celebration of the album’s fifth anniversary, and Carrie Underwood closes out this week’s top 10.

Just last week, BTS clarified that their “hiatus” will not be a disbandment, and that they will still be “remaining active as a group. BIGHIT stated, “BTS now starts a new chapter with new solo projects as well as group projects. Members will take this time to achieve personal growth through various new activities, and we expect it to further strengthen the foundation for the group‘s long-term run as a team.”

Elsewhere in music, Drake’s HONESTLY, NEVERMIND is projected to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200.
