Babagana Zulum: Bauchi governor will soon join APC
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, will join the All Progressives Congress soon, the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has stated. Zulum spoke when he led the North-East Governors to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction and upgrading of the Bauchi State Government House on Thursday. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has assured its students that they will be mobilised for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2021 Batch A. ‘Bandit’ caught with three AK-47 rifles in Niger
An arm-bearing young man suspected to be an armed bandit was on Wednesday caught at Patigi Ferry Port in Niger State based on suspicious behaviour. Luck was said to have run against him when he refused to hand over his baggage to the motorcycle rider from Bida Garage to place in front of the rider on top of the motorcycle fuel tank as is the practice. While on the way, the man received several calls apparently from gang members asking him to hurry up, a situation which got the rider really scared. PDP accuses APC of plot to take over Zamfara
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting a forceful take over of Zamfara State because of the security challenges confronting the state. The party levelled the accusation in a statement on Wednesday by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan. The North-west state is governed by a PDP governor, Bello Matawalle. Industrial crisis is looming in Ekiti over sack of 21 workers of the State House of Assembly recruited under the tenure of former Governor Ayodele Fayose. The workers were sacked in January 2020 over claims that their recruitment by the Fayose administration did not follow due process and was therefore illegal, according to News Agency of Nigeria.
