Odion Ighalo has been nominated for Manchester United’s goal of the month award for June. Ighalo’s second half strike in Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup 2-1 win against Norwich City is nominated along six other impressive goals. Anthony Martial (all three goals) against Sheffield United, Harry Maguire’s winning strike against Norwich City, Mason Greenwood’s opener versus Brighton & Hove Albion and Bruno Fernandes’ second versus Brighton are also in the running for the award. It would be recalled that Ighalo won the award for the goal of the month for March. The forward’s stunning goal in the Europa League clash against LASK was adjudged the best for the month. Ighalo has scored five goals in four starts for the Red Devils. Get more stories like this on Twitter You Deserve to Make Money Even...
The Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH), has said that all government hospitals in FCT would become COVID-19 sample collection sites so that walk-in cases could have samples taken for testing. We intend to scale this up to other states of the federation,” he said. Ehanire said that all health workers would be trained and retrained on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and issued PPEs and materials required for discharge of their duties. Some of the U.K.’s biggest music stars are pleading with their government to come to the aid of the £4.5 billion ($5.6 billion) live music sector during the coronavirus lockdown, warning that government support is vital to prevent “mass insolvencies.” A group of 1,500 artists — including Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, The Rolling Stones, Rita Ora and many others — signed a letter to Oliver Dowden, the secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport, urging the government to create a funding package for the live sector similar to what Germany’s government did last month. “With no end to social distancing in sight or financial support from government yet agreed,...

Novak Djokovic and his wife Jelena, who last week both tested positive for coronavirus following his exhibition tournament in the Balkans, have now tested negative, his press service said Thursday. Neither the 33-year-old player nor his partner felt any symptoms, the statement said. The couple had been self-isolating since returning to Belgrade from Zadar in Croatia, the town which hosted the second leg of Djokovic’s ill-fated Adria Tour. Four players — Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki — tested positive for the virus after the event which saw little social distancing and packed stands. The world number one’s coach Goran Ivanisevic also contracted COVID-19. Players had embraced across the net, played basketball and even danced in a nightclub during the week of the f...
Bishop’s push faces long odds given the Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has already announced a late July vote on the legislation, which passed the Senate 73-25 in mid-June and enjoys the support of President Donald Trump. A companion House bill currently has 186 co-sponsors, including several dozen Republicans. At the heart of Bishop’s argument is a “conforming amendment” at the bottom of page 14 of the 16-page bill. The language removes a decades-old provision in the original 1964 LWCF Act mandating that “not more than 15 percent of the acreage added to the National Forest System pursuant to this section shall be west of the 100th meridian” unless specifically authorized by Congress. In theory, that means 85 percent of land acquisition should have been to the east of that line running from N...
The song follows the reign of “Mi Meta Contigo.” Banda Los Sebastianes clock their third No. 1, and second in a row, on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart as “En Eso No Quedamos” ascends 2-1 on the survey dated July 4. “En Eso No Quedamos” (which translates to “We Didn’t Agree on That”) follows the six-week reign of the group’s “Mi Meta Contigo” in November. Banda first led the Regional Mexican Airplay chart for six weeks with its longest-charting title “A Través del Vaso” (39 weeks on the chart) in Feb. 16, 2019, over three years after the band’s first entry on the chart, “Indeleble” (No. 39, Sept. 2015). “En Eso No Quedamos” rises thanks to a 13% boost in audience impressions (to 6.2 million) earned in the week ending June 28, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. With a 19-week cli...
Frank Lampard has said Wednesday’s loss to West Ham United is emblematic of Chelsea’s season. The Blues were downed 3-2 by the Premier League relegation battlers, a defeat which meant they missed the chance to moved into third. And speaking after the game, Lampard said the result was indicative of why his team were not challenging for the title. “It happens, it is the Premier League and if you make mistakes like we did, we dominated the game in terms of possession, but make mistakes and teams will hurt you,” said Lampard. “I’m not happy with any of the goals. You don’t get given victories for scoring two goals, you have to be better than that. “There were moments they counter-attacked, which we knew they would. There were details in the game which we knew but we lost because we didn’t get ...
