London Grammar Set New Release Date For ‘California Soil,’ Share ‘Lose Your Head’: Watch
The set, the followup to 2017’s Truth Is a Beautiful Thing, was initially slated for release Feb. 12. Co-produced by English electronic musician George FitzGerald, California Soil features the previously-released single “Baby It’s You,” the title track and “Lose Your Head,” which premiered earlier this week on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. London Grammar were founded at Nottingham University and formed by Reid, Dan Rothman and Dot Major. Plaudits came fast and in bunches, initially with the release of their debut album If You Wait, which peaked at No. 2 in the U.K.; and for Truth, which led the Official U.K. Albums Chart on its release. CHEVELLE will release the official music video for its new single, “Self Destructor”, on Friday, January 8 at 7:00 a.m. PST / 10:00 a.m. EST. This week the Queens rapper was hit with a lawsuit from Jawara Headly who says that Nicki ripped off his song “Rich Sex” after letting her hear his version of it a little before 2016. TMZ is reporting that Headly a.k.a. Brinx Billions slapped the Queen rapper along with Young Money, Cash Money and Universal Music Group with a $200 million suit claiming that Nicki not only jacked his cut, but even told him it would be “extremely marketable and become a global hit” after hearing his original version. The Melvins have shared the riff-filled “Caddy Daddy” from their upcoming album Working with God, out February 26th. The album sees the re-formation of the band’s 1983 lineup featuring Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover, and original drummer Mike Dillard. Given the young ages of the band members when they formed the Melvins, some teenage sense of humor in the new track is inevitable. These aren’t archival recordings, but new music from the 1983 lineup, in the vein of their previous full-length album, 2013’s Tres Cabrones.
