FLOTSAM AND JETSAM Is Putting Finishing Touches On ‘Perfect’ Follow-Up To ‘The End Of Chaos’

Veteran Arizona thrashers FLOTSAM AND JETSAM are putting the finishing touches on their new album for a tentative late spring/early summer release. Over the weekend, guitarist Michael Gilbert told The Metal Voice about the upcoming follow-up to “The End Of Chaos” (see video below): “It was supposed to come out in January [2021]; that was what the plan was. It’s done — everything’s done except for the artwork at this point, because we knew we weren’t gonna be able to do a January release, and it got pushed back to June. So we stopped doing the white-knuckle recording and just kind of started taking our time with the mixes and stuff like that. It’s completed, except for a couple of artwork things that we’re gonna do. I think we’re gonna b...

Dillon Francis and Drove Share Preview of Dreamy New STMPD RCRDS Track, “Places”

If there was anyone to kick off the new year with a bang, it’s Dillon Francis. However, contrary to what you might expect from the producer of electrifying bangers like “Shut It Down” and “Another Dimension,” he is going a different route. Instead of kicking the door down and stampeding into 2021 with a signature moombah festival smash, Francis is releasing a dreamy single called “Places” alongside Drove. The track, which is set to drop this Friday, January 8th via Martin Garrix‘s STMPD RCRDS banner, has a bubbly feel akin to the deep house sound Francis has championed as of late. That sound can be heard in his November 2020 remix of Dixie D’Amelio‘s “Be Happy” as well as his own VIP edit of his recent collaboration wi...

2021 Grammy Awards Ceremony Postponed Due to COVID-19 Concerns

The 2021 Grammy Awards have been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, according to a report by Rolling Stone.  The Los Angeles Times reports that the Recording Academy has pushed the Grammys to March 21st, 2021. Considering the impact of the virus prior to the announcement, organizers were already planning a restricted and socially distanced show, devoid of an audience and only open to presenters and performers. However, as the state of California struggles to mitigate the spread of the virus, organizers of the Grammys have decided to pull the plug on the event, which was originally slated to take place on January 31st. “The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles, where hospital services have been overwhelmed [and] ICUs have reached capacity, and new guidance from...

Berlin’s Terri Nunn Apologizes for Performing at Mar-a-Lago NYE Party

“The contract stated it was a small Covid-safe event for the members of Mar-a-Lago,” she explained. “Unfortunately it was not Covid-safe anywhere in Florida. I had no idea masks and social distancing were not required. I thought I was current on all Covid news everywhere, but clearly I was not. I was shocked by Florida and Mar-a-Lago’s lack of regard for the pandemic and if I’d known I would never have gone. Once I fulfilled my contractual obligation, I left the event as quickly as I could. It is a mistake I regret.” After revealing that her recent coronavirus test came back negative, she concluded with a message to her LGBTQ+ fans, who felt betrayed, especially since Nunn often performs at Pride festivals. “My apologies to those in the LGBTQ commu...
