Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The Album Sales chart’s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Pure album sales were the measurement solely utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album units and streaming equivalent album units. In 2019, the Woolsey Fire took out large swaths of land in the greater Los Angeles area, stretching from Thousand Oaks to Malibu. Miley Cyrus was one of those victims who lost their homes. Also gone in the fire was unfinished music and instruments. On Thursday, Cyrus shared a previously unheard song titled “Mary Jane 5EVR” about her late dog, Mary Jane. The piano ballad was accompanied by a video that featured private moments with Mary Jane. “I wrote this song in Malibu years ago on a piano in a house that no longer exists. DaBaby Arrested in Beverly Hills on Gun Charges
DaBaby was arrested on Thursday afternoon in Beverly Hills. The rapper, born Jonathan Kirk, was released on $35,000 bond, a spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police Department tells SPIN. According to the Beverly Hills Police, officers responded to the 300 block of Rodeo Dr. after store security called 911 on a group of male subjects walking southbound on Rodeo Drive. CBS LA notes that it was the Gucci store. At 4:45 pm, the group was detained and Kirk was arrested. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
