Faith No More Reschedule Australia Tour to 2022
“Once again in this world of things being temporarily out of our control, we are having to postpone our AU/NZ dates,” reads a statement from Mike Patton and Co. “Postponed and not cancelled being the silver lining here and we’re grateful for that. St. Vincent Confirms 2021 Album Release
We’ve waited more than three years since Vincent’s sixth and most recent album Masseduction, which gave the American artist (real name Annie Clark) her first Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, peaking at No. 10. Its title track scored a Grammy Award, her second, for best rock song. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native won her first career Grammy for the 2014 effort St. Vincent, which took out best alternative music album. Vincent has just been announced to the lineup for The Ally Coalition’s seventh annual Talent Show, a livestream event set to raise money for various LGBTQ youth programs around the country. Twitter is Shutting Down Periscope in 2021
Twitter has announced that it’s shutting down its live-streaming service Periscope. In a blog post shared to Medium, the social media company said that it will be discontinuing all Periscope apps by March of 2021, and folding all of their live video capabilities into the Twitter Live feature on the main Twitter app. “The Periscope app is in an unsustainable maintenance-mode state, and has been for a while,” Twitter wrote in the post. “Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen declining usage and know that the cost to support the app will only continue to go up over time.” Although Periscope will be up and running for active users until next year, the app’s latest update, which was rolled out today, is currently blocking any new account signups. Anita White, the Seattle blues singer best known as Lady A, has released a new song called “My Name Is All I Got”. The track was seemingly written in response to her ongoing legal battle with Lady A, aka the band formerly known as Lady Antebellum.
