The archival track was recorded in the ’90s with keyboardist David Garfield, who recovered and remastered the song for a new EP, Guitar Heros OTB, Vol. 1. Eddie shreds through a decadent solo on the classic Hendrix number. The Van Halen guitarist wasn’t known for his psychedelic flourishes, but he unfurls some mesmerizing licks that would have no doubt impressed Hendrix himself. David Lynch to Begin Production on New Project for Netflix
David Lynch is set to begin production on a new project for Netflix. As the fan site Welcome to Twin Peaks points out, the industry trade Production Weekly revealed news of the project in its latest issue. Lynch will write the direct the project, which carries the working title of Wisteria. Filming is scheduled to begin in May 2021 at Los Angeles’ Calvert Studios. Citing its own sources, Welcome to Twin Peaks reports that the project will take the form of a limited episodic series. Lynch kickstarted his partnership with Netflix earlier this year when he brought his short film What Did Jack Do? to the streaming platform. Verni has confirmed to MetalAsylum.net that the band is recording its new album for a tentative early 2021 release via Nuclear Blast. “[The] drums are done,” he said (see video below). “[We] just started guitars last week — actually, just a few days ago. Kaavan is set to leave for a sanctuary in Cambodia on Sunday, said Martin Bauer of Four Paws International, a global animal welfare group that’s led the charge to save him since 2016. Cher took up Kaavan’s cause and has been a loud voice advocating for his resettlement. Four Paws, which often carries out animal rescue missions, has provided the medical treatment needed before Kaavan can travel and will accompany him to the sanctuary.
