Charlotte de Witte is Streaming a Techno Set from a Remote 1860 Montenegro Fortress

With no light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel, it seems that electronic music artists are closing their eyes and throwing a dart at a map when planning their next livestream. Enter Belgian techno maven Charlotte de Witte, who has announced a momentous stream from a remote Montenegro fortress built in 1860. In partnership with Exit Festival’s new InfinitX project, which places major musical artists in the most beautiful locations around the world, de Witte has announced a can’t-miss DJ set at the Mogren Fortress in Budva, Montenegro. Watch Illenium’s Haunting Official Music Video for “Nightlight”

Illenium has uncloaked the official music video for his latest single “Nightlight,” sharing a visual that magnifies the mythos of his haunting original. Directed by Najeeb Tarazi, the official “Nightlight” music video is nothing short of sublime. It follows a woman as she traverses through an eerie, cavernous forest armed with nothing but a bow and arsenal of arrows. Seeing Illenium’s patented firebird soaring above, she prepares to shoot it down, but it transforms into an ember and gently flutters to the surface. It then serves as a nightlight, leading her through the dark to an incandescent lake where thousands of mini firebirds glide above the water. “It’s a love song, and it’s a peaceful love song, where you’re in the dark going through shi...

POWERMAN 5000 Releases Music Video For ‘Strange People Doing Strange Things’

POWERMAN 5000 singer/creative mastermind Spider One has made a new video for the primally creepy “Strange People Doing Strange Things” track from the band’s brand new album, “The Noble Rot”. Unlike anything this multi-talented frontman has created, Spider‘s video is a wild rollercoaster of Don Hertzfeldtian minimalist doodles mixed with David Cronenberg-inspired body horror and sprinkled with pop culture references aplenty including sci-fi heroes, classic movie monsters, kooky aliens, droogish film icons, and one intrepid little housefly. This monumental undertaking was accomplished with nearly 3,000 separate drawings and took many months to complete. Spider stated about the video: “I’d like to say making this video was a labor of love but it...

STRYPER’s MICHAEL SWEET Criticizes CARDI B’s ‘WAP’, Says He Doesn’t Want His Granddaughter Subjected To ‘That Garbage’

Michael Sweet of openly Christian rockers STRYPER has criticized rap superstar Cardi B over the suggestive lyrics to her single “WAP”, saying he doesn’t want his granddaughter subjected to that “garbage.” “WAP” debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart last month, breaking numerous streaming records and spawning a viral TikTok dance challenge. The track’s lyrics, which are about female sexual liberation, have also been the subject of controversy, with several right-wing commentators implying “WAP” was specifically marketed to young girls, when the song’s obvious audience is adults. Sweet offered his opinion of “WAP” in an interview with the “Cobras & Fire” podcast, where the vocalist/guita...
