New Releases and Concerts Come to SPIN’s Untitled Twitch Stream Next Week
If you missed the excitement this week on SPIN’s Untitled Twitch Stream, you can thankfully still watch the sets from Prema777, Ghost Liotta, Tatiana Demaria and more on Twitch for a few more days before they move to YouTube. Don’t worry about our lack of Friday plans though (thanks, COVID cancelations), as we’ll be back on Monday for a full week of brand new livestreams. Toni Cornell Launches Education Initiative, Shares Letter About Addiction
Toni Cornell knows how it feels to lose someone to addiction. And she wants to make sure its never a reality for others. On Friday morning, Cornell — the daughter of legendary Soundgarden leader Chris Cornell — and her brother Christopher launched “Stop the Stigma: Tackling the Stigma of Addiction through Education,” a national education initiative in partnership with the Addiction Policy Forum and the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation. Her mission: Make addiction a part of education for young people. Broadway Extends Shutdown Through May 2021
The extension means that Broadway will be closed for more than a year by the time it reopens in 2021. “With nearly 97,000 workers who rely on Broadway for their livelihood and an annual economic impact of $14.8 billion to the city, our membership is committed to re-opening as soon as conditions permit us to do so. We are working tirelessly with multiple partners on sustaining the industry once we raise our curtains again,” Broadway League president Charlotte St. Martin said in a statement.
