The mysterious rapper decided it was time to respond to those claims. Tuesday (Oct.6), TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith shared a video on Instagram to share a PSA from the label’s crown jewel. In typical K-Dot fashion, he remains enigmatic, using his daughter’s Blue’s Clues stuffed animal to do the talking for him while SpongeBob SquarePants plays in the background. While roasting Top’s head, Kendrick shut down the silly rumors stating: “Top, you got to stop them from smutting my name, man. They been smutting my name all year, man. You ain’t said nothing. David Lee Roth on Eddie Van Halen’s Passing: “What a Long Great Trip It’s Been”

David Lee Roth has honored his longtime bandmate Eddie Van Halen, who passed away on Tuesday (October 6th). The singer offered a short but poignant tribute, joining fellow Van Halen members past and present in saluting the guitar god. Eddie Van Halen died after a battle with throat cancer, and the tributes have poured in from the music and entertainment world. On Tuesday evening, David Lee Roth shared a photo of himself with Eddie, with the words, “What a long great trip it’s been.” Roth’s words follow similar tributes from former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony. Hagar, who replaced Roth when he left Van Halen in the ’80s, simply wrote, “Heartbroken and speechless. My love to the family.” Anthony, the band’s longtime bassist before being replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen in ...

National Independent Venue Association Begs Government to Save Concert Industry from “Mass Collapse”

Today, Donald Trump halted all negotiations with Congress regarding further COVID-19 relief until after the election. The abrupt political move, which come across like the actions of a manic drugged up on steroids, will undoubtedly impose even more financial hardship on a country that’s already months-deep into an economic crisis. The National Independent Venue Association, having already suffered major losses the last few months — including the shuttering of Washington, DC’s iconic U Street Music Hall just yesterday — has now responded to Trump’s decision. “We have been sounding the alarm since April that if our members don’t get emergency assistance, they will go under forever — and it’s happening,” said Audrey Fix Schaefer, director of communications for NIVA. “This is real. We nee...

Adam Sandler’s Top 10 Performances

Gossip suggests that Adam Sandler fears that he’ll be found out any minute as a fake, or that people will stop wanting him around. On the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, the late-night host and former SNL colleague once highlighted that Sandler is the type of guy who will confide in colleagues that “they’re on to him” after even the most successful of films and highest of praise. “They” being the public, fans, anyone that’s seen a Sandler project. They will just up and quit on the comic icon. As a lifelong watcher of Sandler — from Opera Man to Uncut Gems — nothing could be further from the truth. We are on to him: He’s an outrageous talent. It’s without a shred of controversy that we can comfortably proclaim Sandler an all-star of unsung dexterity. On one hand, he’s a popular, moder...

Who’s The ‘F*cking Liar’ On Teen Mom 2: Sean Or Jade’s Parents?

Jade just celebrated a professional milestone when she graduated from beauty school — but unfortunately, her Teen Mom 2 family life took a “huge step backward” during tonight’s episode. Here’s what happened (without the MTV crew present): Jade, Sean and her parents Christy and Corey got into a huge fight, the police were called and eventually her baby daddy and her folks left the residence. Shortly after the ordeal, Jade explained what unfolded to her friend Marissa. “Sean came out of the bathroom, and I go in there and I see something on the counter,” Jade recounted. “Like residue. I’m like, ‘What the f*ck is this? What the f*ck is going on?'” she continued, while noting that Christy believed it looked like some sort of ...

THE HOTEL LOBBY Release Nostalgic Music Video for “Good Life”

THE HOTEL LOBBY are back with another new music video. This time, the duo gave their recently released single “Good Life” the audiovisual treatment in the form of a sun-kissed project that hearkens to good vibes of pre-pandemic yesteryear. Although the weather is getting colder by the minute, the tropical, sun-soaked atmosphere created by the track is highlighted by a fun music video of the blossoming duo and their crew enjoying the sunshine. It’s a great accompaniment to the warm pop and future bass hybrid. Don’t worry, the duo is aware that we’re in pandemic and have stated that the video was not filmed during lockdown, but rather during last year’s Miami Music Week. Johnny Lee of THE HOTEL LOBBY spoke on the production of the music video and shar...

Lucii Previews New Wakaan EP With Lead Single, “Till the Day I Die”

In March 2019, Lucii made history by being the first woman to have a release on Wakaan with her label debut, “Neptune.” In a short period of time, the bass alien has captured the electronic community’s heart with her extraterrestrial sound design and down-to-earth charisma. This past year, Lucii has continued to make waves from her collaborative singles with Champagne Drip in “Me and You” and with Sam Lamar in “You.” Now, Lucii is preparing a new chapter with her first official EP since her Abduction debut in 2018. Continuing her upward trajectory, Lucii is returning to Wakaan with a brand new 4-track EP, Wicked, slated for release on October 23. In preparation for the release, Lucii has officially unveiled the lead single a cou...

Valentino Khan Drops Unrelenting Original “Division” Ahead of EP Release [Premiere]

A heated third single has officially arrived from Valentino Khan as he continues to march toward the release of his forthcoming French Fried EP, which is arriving later this month. Khan explores his dark side on his latest offering, “Division,” an unrelenting instrumental that pulls no punches. The song shows its true colors from the get-go, as a distortion-heavy layer of bass rapidly rears into a fully-fledged midtempo beatdown carried by a formidable set of kick drums. Following a high-energy first sequence, Khan introduces a haunting melodic interlude, perhaps foreshadowing the storming bass-lines ahead as he reloads for a blistering finish.  Khan’s latest offering finds similar ground with his recent midtempo original “Deathproof,” an indication ...

DEF LEPPARD‘s Joe Elliott and Vivian Campbell have paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen, who died earlier today (Tuesday, October 6) at the age of 65. The legendary VAN HALEN guitarist’s death was confirmed by his son, and VAN HALEN bassist, Wolfgang Van Halen. Elliott said in a statement: “I saw VAN HALEN destroy [BLACK] SABBATH at the Sheffield City Hall in 1977… Eddie was a big part of that, having essentially reinvented guitar playing just like Jimi Hendrix had done a generation earlier….l had the pleasure of being on the same bill as VAN HALEN 7 years ago when KINGS OF CHAOS were on the same bill at the Stone Music Festival in Australia. I’m happy to say that his playing that night was as good as it’s ever been, he certainly shook things up when he...

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen, who died earlier today (Tuesday, October 6) at the age of 65. The legendary VAN HALEN guitarist’s death was confirmed by his son, and VAN HALEN bassist, Wolfgang Van Halen. Less than a couple of hours ago, Simmons tweeted out a video message in which he said: “I just found out that Eddie Van Halen passed away. I’m heartbroken. Rest in peace.” Simmons has claimed in several interviews that he once had to talk Eddie out of leaving VAN HALEN and teaming up with KISS. Asked in the April 2014 issue of Guitar World if it was true that Van Halen wanted to join KISS around the time...
