Listen to Pendulum Drop Unreleased Hybrid Minds Collab During Spitbank Fort Performance

It’s been a great month to be a Pendulum fan. In the past thirty days, the legendary band released their first songs in ten years, dropped a new music video, and took part in a live performance from Spitbank Fort in the middle of the English Channel. If all of that wasn’t enough to stave off your decade-long Pendulum hunger, during the aforementioned performance, the band premiered an unreleased collaboration with Hybrid Minds. Attentive viewers (or those who checked out the tracklist after the performance) noticed the new track and couldn’t believe their ears. Fans were excited to see the band switch things up and incorporate their iconic sound with that of the veteran duo. Leaving no room for incorrect speculation, shortly after the show, founding member ...

Alongside the music, he stated that he would be finishing the new song that day, so fans have already begun to hold their breath waiting for its official release. It’s worth noting that the name on the project file shown in the video reads “medusa dubstep remix update [medusa dubstep remix],” leading many to believe that the new song is a remix of his and Wreckno‘s Pride Month anthem of the same name. While he’s b...

What Drives DREAM THEATER’s JOHN PETRUCCI To Keep Making Music?

In a new interview with United Rock Nations, DREAM THEATER guitarist John Petrucci was asked what keeps him motivated to write music and perform live after all these years. He responded (see video below): “I think the thing that drives me the most is that I enjoy it so much. I think that I’ve always been a creative person. Even when I was younger and I didn’t play guitar, I was into drawing and painting. It’s just something that is part of what I am, what I do. “I love playing guitar,” he continued. “The whole process of creating music on the instrument and then going into a place and building it into something, I always find it very inspiring and just a lot of fun and engaging. Why Do So Many Heavy Metal Fans Love Cats? ROB HALFORD Weighs In

In a new interview with the “Cobras & Fire” podcast, JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford explained why he posts so many pictures on his Instagram of him wearing cat-related t-shirts. He said (hear audio below): “I think I have about a hundred cat t-shirts now. I used to have a beautiful kitty cat called Ben, who lived a long life and then suddenly passed, like they all do. It’s like losing a family member. But it was kind of difficult, because I’m on the road all the time and there’s nobody here at the house. “As much as it’s great sometimes for the cats to go into kitty jail [laughs], kitty vacation, my cat never liked that very much,” he explained. “So I’m kind of making up for that with my cat t-shirts every Saturday on m...

DEF LEPPARD’s RICK ALLEN Says He Is ‘Still Trying To Master The Art Of One-Armed Acoustic Drumming’

DEF LEPPARD drummer Rick Allen says that he is “still trying to master the art of one-armed acoustic drumming.” Last December marked 35 years since the life-altering accident suffered by Allen in which he lost his left arm in an auto accident in England. Allen had to relearn how to play drums and drum manufacturer Simmons worked with him to build a kit. The band stuck with Allen through the difficult time and the drummer persevered through an accident that would have ended most people’s careers. On Saturday (October 3), Allen shared a short video clip of him playing on a Yamaha drum kit at his home studio, and he included the following caption: “Still trying to master the art of one armed acoustic drumming #blessed #rickallen #leadwithlove”. Allen spoke about ...
