Robin Schulz will “make you want to move your dancing feet” with his new remix of the Bob Marley and the Wailers classic “Sun Is Shining.” Arriving in the peak of summer, Schulz puts a pep in the step of this near 50-year old cut. A swirl of filtered pianos unfurls into a cadence of tropical soundscapes and warm guitar chords that will leave you wanting to dance the day away. Robin Schulz has demonstrated a knack for reimagining songs of the past with a modern day dance music spin, most notably with his song “Sugar” with Francesco Yates, which incorporated the lyrics from Baby Bash‘s “Suga Suga.” With his latest effort, Schulz’s approach remains similarly well thought out, preserving much of the original reggae elements...

LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia has blasted people who promote the conspiracy theory that the COVID-19 pandemic is part of a strategy conceived by global elites — such as Bill Gates — to roll out vaccinations with tracking chips that would later be activated by 5G, the technology used by cellular networks. “Don’t get sucked into this stupid, stupid news,” Cristina said during a July 14 Twitch chat with her followers. “When we talk about a conspiracy — a conspiracy for what? You tell me, because everyone I talk to online about this so-called conspiracy, they can’t give me an explanation. And as per science, if you can’t prove it’s the way you’re saying it, it’s not true. So if you’re telling me that the 5G is connected to the v...

RATING: 8.5/10 With their 20th anniversary looming over the horizon in 2021, THE ACACIA STRAIN deserve a robust slap on the back for sticking to their guns for such a long time, without ever exhibiting the slightest interest in compromise. Perhaps the most intriguing thing about the band is how they have nimbly and consistently sidestepped the overtly generic, focusing instead on the incremental evolution of their own, subtly distinctive blend of deathly metalcore. Even as far back as early classics like 2008’s “Continent”, Vincent Bennett‘s crew were making the opposition sound a little halfhearted, but even by their own furious standards, last year’s “It Comes In Waves” album was a startling statement of renewed intent; one widely hailed as the b...

The series of clips show hands on a mixing board washed in an infrared filter as music streams in the background. The frontman opted to caption the video with ab uplifting message to fans rather than explaining what we’re listening to. “These are the strangest times . . . and everyone is going through stress and pain for a huge variety of reasons,” he wrote. “I just want to send a message of unity and hope that all the forces trying to keep us apart won’t be successful.” “Until the world is made whole. One body one soul. [Heart emoji] Win,” he concluded his ...
The Chicks (formerly the Dixie Chicks) have revealed a terrifying encounter with Harvey Weinstein. While talking with the Guardian, the band recalled a time when the disgraced movie mogul verbally abused the female directors of their 2006 documentary, Shut Up and Sing. The film, which was produced by Weinstein, followed the backlash the trio received after criticizing George W. Bush’s Iraq War. According to the group’s multi-instrumentalist Martie Maguire, Weinstein attempted to bully the directors into ending the documentary on a happy note, which seemed ingenuine. “He was standing, screaming at them,” she divulged. “We were all dumbfounded.” Singer Natalie Maines called the incident “one of the scariest meetings we’ve ever had” and considers it one of her biggest...
