And so we did!” METALLICA‘s Kirk Hammett famously produced DEATH ANGEL‘s first demo, 1985’s “Kill As One”. In recent years, Hammett has joined DEATH ANGEL on stage to perform the the METALLICA song “Trapped Under Ice” and the BLACK SABBATH classic “Heaven And Hell”. Back in 2018, DEATH ANGEL singer Mark Osegueda told RadioactiveMike ...
Wolfgang Van Halen has denounced his detractors for not being “creative” enough with their insults. Earlier today, the VAN HALEN bassist tweeted, “Just vacuumed my living room and couch cushions like I’m some kind of adult or something”, to which a Twitter user responded: “Who cares, your just a nepotism freak.” This prompted the 29-year-old musician to write: “You’re**. Insult me with proper grammar please. Your mother would be very disappointed.” Wolfgang then added: “Also, while we’re on the topic… Can ANYONE come up with some kind of insult that doesn’t involve nepotism/living in the shadow/fat jokes? I feel like that horse has been dead for quite some time. I’m starting to feel like the people wh...
Source: ELLE Magazine / ELLE Despite *Cardi B voice* coronavirus out here wreaking havoc, Cardi B is having a great month of August. The Bronx rapper landed the cover the Elle Magazine and, in the upcoming issue, conducted an interview with Democratic Presidential nominee, Joe Biden. Don’t get it twisted, Bardi can be out here talking about just how wet and gushy the goods are with some assistance from our favorite hot girl, Megan Thee Stallion and at the same time have concerns about what is going on in the country. In the upcoming September issue, which features the “WAP” crafter on the cover, Cardi touches on a range of topics with the former VP asking him the questions her fans generally care about when it comes to this upcoming election. Source: JLN Photography/WENN.com / WENN Diamond & Silk, the right-wing duo that President Donald Trump paraded around like a pair of pets, are finding that they’re still Black in America the hard way. In an upcoming book, the insufferable two claim that Fox News had it out it for them after they were canned by the network and lost their Fox Nation show. The Daily Beast received an exclusive excerpt of Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson’s book, Uprising: Who the Hell Said You Can’t Ditch and Switch?—The Awakening of Diamond and Silk drops this Tuesday and their firing from their Fox Nation gig which came after the pair touted false COVID-19 conspiracy theories lauded by Trump and other MAGA nutballs. Source: Mach-Hommy / Mach-Hommy, Inc. Mach-Hommy would be defined by most as enigmatic, mysterious, cryptic, and other adjectives that hardly capture the astonishing range he possesses. The Haitian-American rapper and producers’s latest project Mach’s Hard Lemonade, released exclusively via TIDAL, is an impressive addition to Mach’s expansive gallery of audio art. Seemingly unconcerned with accolades from critics and content with releasing music on terms that befit him, Mach-Hommy has forged a lane with supporters who willingly pay to own the product despite the famously high price tag. Betting on himself similarly as the late Nipsey Hussle did with the Crenshaw mixtape, the New Jersey artist upped the cost of his releases, feeding fans at a measured clip complete with a consistency that e...
The version of Popcaan’s newest project Fixtape that’s on major streaming platforms is a star-studded, 19-track project that, in many ways, mirrors the music that the artist born Andrae Sutherland has released over the last six years. It’s dancehall that is aware of global trends, while still serving up tracks to the loyal core of listeners that have been around since he was a young protégé under the tutelage of Vybz Kartel’s Gaza. There are appearances from the rising Jamaican singer Jada Kingdom, Popcaan’s former Gaza teammate Tommy Lee Sparta, French Montana, and Drake, whose OVO imprint released Fixtape. There are peaks and valleys that see Poppy go from slow-wining to head-banging to a handful of uplifting ballads that detail his ascension to dancehall royalty. But to experience Fixta...
Blood Orange collaborator and alternative R&B artist Ian Isiah will release his upcoming record, Auntie, on August 31st via Juliet Records. For those who can’t wait a few weeks to hear what the project sounds like, he’s shared the latest single, “Princess Pouty”. Musically, “Princess Pouty” is a vibrant electro-funk number that sounds like Prince in his most sparkly outfit. Part of that tone comes courtesy of Chromeo, the nu-disco duo who produced the track (while juggling their own pandemic-era projects, mind you). It’s flashy, it’s retro, and it’s perfectly self-aware in its high-key indulgence. When sharing the track, Isiah revealed he’s proud of his vocal work here, and rightfully so. As it turns out, the single is a little bit of an I-told-you-so to the grown-ups from his youth wh...
Fast Times at Ridgemont High is getting the A-list all-star treatment. On Friday, August 21st, Dane Cook is bringing together a who’s who lineup of blockbuster celebrities, who will all read Cameron Crowe’s script for Amy Heckerling’s iconic 1982 teen hit. As of press time — because, really, this list keeps on givin’ — the lineup includes OG star Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Shia LaBeouf, Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding, and Jimmy Kimmel. “I wanted to do something that lightens the mood, can help people, and, at the same time, I wanted to do something that felt celebratory, because we don’t have movies,” Cook told Extra on Monday afternoon. Organizers have described the event as an “unrehearsed, anything-goes table read,” which means fans o...
Throughout his historic career, LeBron James has led both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat to NBA glory. It turns out the superstar athlete is just as inspiring on a film set as he is on a basketball court. TMZ has obtained audio of a speech James gave to the cast and crew of the upcoming Space Jam sequel, and it’s equal parts uplifting and emotional. The Los Angeles Laker delivered his moving words on the final day of filming Space Jam: A New Legacy. To start his address, James talked about how starring in the sequel was a dream come true from the very start. “I’m gonna be honest completely with you guys – when I found out about the project, I was like it’s Space Jam! It’s a movie that I grew up watching,” he gushed. “People in the movie that I idolize. I was like absolutely, I gott...
Maggie Rogers, Billy Porter, and Leon Bridges at the 2020 Democratic National Convention Michelle Obama’s powerful speech during the first night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention undoubtedly stole the show. However, there were also some bright spots from other supporters of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, namely musical performances from Maggie Rogers, Leon Bridges, and Billy Porter with Steven Stills. Bridges came first, delivering a soulful rendition of his summer single “Sweeter”. Joined on a sun-set city rooftop by Terrace Martin, Joshua Crumbly, Paul Cornish, and Trevor Lawrence, the soul artist sang out for racial justice with lines like, “My sisters and my brothers sing, sing over me/ And I wish I had another day.” Next up was Rogers, performing on the Main...
GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist Richard Fortus recently spoke to Premier Guitar about how he brings his own style to the band’s classic catalog when performing it live, especially in the years since Slash rejoined the group. “It’s a tricky thing, ’cause you obviously wanna bring your own character to the role, to those songs, but you have to really have some reverence for the song and the original parts,” Richard explained (hear audio below). “So it’s a fine line, it’s a delicate balance that you walk between your own personality and honoring the originality of the song to begin with. And especially with GUNS, because fans are so attached to the ‘Appetite [For Destruction]’ album — there’s not a lot of room for bringing your o...
