Coachella Producer Goldenvoice Launches “GV Black” to Support Black Community Representation
In a new effort to expand representation for Black voices within its organization and its festivals, Goldenvoice has launched a new organizational unit called “GV Black.” Goldenvoice, producer of famed California-based music festivals Coachella, Stagecoach, and more, has shared the announcement of the new team’s creation on Coachella’s social media channels. The statement opens with a commitment to raising awareness of the violence that has disproportionately impacted the Black community in the United States. Zeds Dead took to social media today to announce the impending release of the “Deluxe Edition” of the duo’s massive “We Are Deadbeats Vol. 4” album. Arriving via their own Deadbeats banner, of course, the project will span 16 tracks and feature “remixes from some of your favorite Deadbeats artists as well as a few new [Zeds Dead] collabs,” according to an announcement made by the label. U.D.O., the German metal band led by former ACCEPT frontman Udo Dirkschneider, has collaborated with Das Musikkorps der Bundeswehr, the military band of the German federal armed forces, on an album called “We Are One”, to be released on July 17 via AFM Records/Soulfood Music. The LP contains 15 new songs that were developed and arranged by U.D.O. together with Lieutenant Colonel Christoph Scheibling.
