Westside Gunn Shares Trailer For Upcoming Griselda Flick ‘Conflicted’

After dominating the music scene, WSG announced that the GxFR collective will join other Hip-Hop stars before them with a foray into film with Conflicted. Taking to Instagram, Gunn announced Conflicted while also sharing a trailer for the film prominently featuring Benny The Butcher. Fabled Denver Nightclub Beta Shut Down for Violating Social Distancing Guidelines
Fabled Lower Downtown Denver venue Beta Nightclub has been shut down indefinitely following reports of repeated violations of the city’s Safer-At-Home order, which was instated due to the impact of COVID-19. The Denver Department of Public Health and Environment pulled the plug on the nightclub following an event on June 20th, 2020 in which the venue was reportedly packed with people, who did not wear face coverings and partied with no semblance of social distancing. Video obtained by local FOX affiliate KDVR-TV seems to corroborate those claims. Poster Shop Launched in Efforts to Raise Funds for New York’s Queer Music Community
There is no better time than now to shop for a good cause, and a new initiative called Support Nightlife NYC has launched a new web store devoted to selling posters as a way to raise money for New York’s queer music community. Between Bridges launched the Support Nightlife NYC initiative as a part of their 2020Solidarity Project to “help members of the NYC nightlife community that are existentially threatened by the current public health and economic crisis.” Thirty-six international artists were enlisted to design one poster each, listed at $50 for donation. 100% of proceeds will be divided among beneficiaries including The Spectrum BK, Papi Juice BK, Glam Collective, RAGGA NYC, Gay Vinyl, NYC INFERNO, Qween Beat, and GHE20G0TH1K. Scrubs Blackface Episodes Pulled from Hulu at Creator’s Request
Scrubs has some literal scrubbing to do. As Variety reports, show creator Bill Lawrence and ABC themselves are pulling multiple episodes featuring characters in blackface from Hulu. There are three episodes of Scrubs in total with various characters in blackface: “My Fifteen Seconds” (season 3, episode 7), “My Jiggly Ball” (season 5, episode 4), and “My Chopped Liver” (season 5, episode 17). In one of them, Zach Braff, who plays the show’s lead character, wears blackface at a party. In another, Sarah Chalke’s character is in blackface during a dream sequence. Lawrence confirmed that Scrubs episodes were being removed after being tagged in a tweet about 30 Rock taking down its own blackface episodes from streaming networks and syndication.
