Ahead of Eddie Murphy and Jerry Bruckheimer's release of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F -- the fourth installment of the franchise, plans for developing the fifth film are apparently in the works. The original film firs released 40 years ago, and later became a major hit, spawning three other follow-ups. At the recent premiere of the fourth film, Bruckheimer recalled the film's first industry screening to Variety, "It didn't go well. A lot of times at industry screenings they don’t laugh.
