Several months after first previewing the track during her much-discussed 2024 Brits performance, RAYE has returned to drop off "Genesis" on streaming platforms. The seven-minute track, which comes with three additional songs on an EP of the same name, is "both as deeply personal and as raw as I could find myself to be about my own mind and the world I see around me," said RAYE in a statement.“There is a Nina Simone quote, ‘It is an artist’s duty to reflect the times’.
