California collective AG Club, led by rappers Jody Fontaine and Baby Boy, is gearing up to release BRODIE WORLD. Last week, the duo dropped off the visuals for the project's first song "eva," following it up today with the visuals for "Barry."With roots in the Bay Area and a current home in Los Angeles, AG Club is a byproduct of the Californian music scene, intermingling influences from NorCal and SoCal alike. Ice Spice has been cast in Spike Lee upcoming adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's crime thriller High and Low. The project stars Denzel Washington and marks Ice Spice's debut acting role. Variety has reported that Ice Spice has already begun filming. The movie is also the fifth collaboration between Washington and Lee. The film is produced in partnership with Apple Original Films and A24 with A24 handling the theatrical release before a global launch on Apple TV+. The Color Purple director Blitz Bazawule’s upcoming project about Yasuke, the first Black samurai, has reportedly landed at Warner Bros.Sources revealed to Variety that the studio was involved in a "competitive" bidding war against three other studios and streamers.
