FromSoftware‘s acclaimed video game Elden Ring has just been turned into a comedic or gag manga. The genre usually takes the form of episodic chapters where specific jokes that only those familiar with the title will understand. Serialized by KADOKAWA with art by Nikiichi Tobita, ELDEN RING: The Road to the Golden Tree is launched free on the online magazine for teens COMIC Hu where the first chapter was revealed on September 4. There are currently two chapters, with “Probably a Shrine Maiden” as the most recent release. With both season six of Rick and Morty and Santa Monica Studio’s God of War: Ragnarok arriving shortly, the two have now teamed up to create a little funny short transforming the animated series’ two main characters into Kratos and Atreus. The short clip starts with Rick shaving his head and slapping red paint on his face while referencing Kratos before throwing Morty a bow and arrow, effectively making him Atreus. The two then step through the signature green portal and enter the Nine Realms, where Rick-Kratos opens a chest to find the Leviathan Axe “and other unannounced upgrades.” The clip ends with Rick finding a large ship and asking Morty, who’s being attacked by crows, to row because he doesn’t want to get the Leviathan Axe wet. With Rick and Morty back on television screens tonight, Adult Swim shared a new promo ad featuring Wendy’s. The show’s long-running gag continues with the 30-second visual, which sees the franchise’s breakfast menu dressed up as Jerry, Summer and Beth in an attempt to trick Morty to promote the restaurant’s new item. Unfortunately for Rick, who bursts in just seconds too late, the plan works and Morty ends up promoting Wendy’s new french toast sticks.
