Netflix has officially released the first teaser for famed director Guillermo del Toro‘s upcoming stop-motion Pinocchio film. In this iteration, del Toro “reinvents Carlo Collodi’s classic tale of the wooden marionette who is magically brought to life in order to mend the heart of a grieving woodcarver.” The film follows Pinocchio’s adventures as he navigates Benito Mussolini’s fascist ruling in 1930s Italy. Toei and Sony Pictures have shared behind-the-scenes footage for the upcoming live-action Knights of the Zodiac. Based on the manga Saint Seiya created by Masami Kurumada in 1986, the footage was revealed for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con. “Five young warriors are recruited to be Knights of the Zodiac, an elite cosmic force dedicated to protecting the Greek goddess Athena and the planet Earth,” the movie’s description reads. The footage offers an inside look into how the film is being made ahead of its 2023 premiere. Actors rehearse martial arts scenes, perform stunts in the desert and sit atop motorcycles. Pricing for Meta’s Quest 2 VR Headset Is Going up $100 USD
If you’re hoping to purchase Meta‘s Quest 2 virtual reality headset, you’d probably want to put in your order soon. After consolidating Facebook‘s Oculus under its new Meta umbrella, the company is now increasing prices for its flagship Quest 2 VR headset. The news was revealed over on Twitter and says that prices for its offerings will be going up by a full $100 USD as of August. This means the usual 128GB set will now go for $400 USD, while the 256GB version will sell at $500 USD. Netflix has continued to build its lineup of mobile in-app games. Last month, the streamer launched its own version of strategy title Into the Breach, adding to a list that already includes Trivia Crack, This Is A True Story, Shatter Remaster and more. Before Your Eyes was developed by GoodbyeWorld Games and debuted in April of last year. The game follows a man, Benjamin Brynn, who recently passed away.
