Tom Morello Accidentally Tackled After Fan Rushes Stage at Rage Against the Machine Show
Tom Morello narrowly escaped a serious injury when he was accidentally tackled during a Rage Against the Machine show in Toronto last night (July 23). The incident occurred after a fan rushed the stage during “Killing In the Name.” A security guard attempted to intercept the fan but instead tackled Morello, who fell off stage. Zack de la Rocha stopped the show to make sure his bandmate was okay, and Morello quickly sprang back up, still armed with his guitar. See it all go down below. Pearl Jam has canceled its third consecutive show due to frontman Eddie Vedder’s ongoing vocal issues, which began after he performed in hot, dusty and smoky conditions on July 17 at Lollapalooza Paris. The band’s planned gig tonight (July 24) at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome is the latest casualty. “In spite of continuous medical treatment, Ed is regretfully still without a voice and unable to perform tonight’s show at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Red Hot Chili Peppers are making up for lost time with guitarist John Frusciante. Just months after releasing Unlimited Love, their first record with Frusciante in 16 years, the band has announced its follow-up. Entitled Return of the Dream Canteen and produced by Rick Rubin, it’s due to arrive on October 14th via Warner. Rage Against the Machine narrowly avoided another broken leg after an audience member rushed the stage, knocking over guitarist Tom Morello in the process. The incident occurred during the band’s closing performance of “Killing in the Name” in Toronto on Saturday night. As you can see via the fan-captured footage embedded below, a man ran on from the side of a stage. A security guard sprang into action, but inadvertently tackled Morello. DC Films Releases ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ Trailer and New ‘Black Adam’ Footage
This past weekend, DC Films held a panel at San Diego Comic-Con sharing what it has planned for fans. Although not delivering any news regarding The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Wonder Woman 3 or The Batman 2 and spin-offs, the studio did share a trailer for Shazam! Namor Appears in the First Trailer for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’
Capping off all of the news it shared during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios dropped the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Directed by the original-movie director, Ryan Coogler, the sequel picks up where Black Panther and deals with the death of star Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa, cinematically. The trailer starts off by showing a nation in mourning, following the death of King T’Challa, highlighting those closest around him. Marvel Studios Announces Phase 5 and 6, the “Multiverse Saga”
Aside from all of the trailer releases at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, Marvel Studios delivered an expansive range of announcements. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige announced that its Phase 4, 5 and 6 releases will be under the “Multiverse Saga” banner, the follow-up to the “Infinity Saga.” Feige revealed that the November 11, 2022 release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will close out Phase 4 and Phase 5 officially begins with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania coming February 17, 2023. Marvel has officially announced Daredevil: Born Again, an 18-episode Disney+ series based on the classic Frank Miller comic storyline. The unveiling came during Marvel head Kevin Feige’s preview of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at Comic-Con. Daredevil: Born Again will arrive in Spring of 2024, and — big news for big Daredevil fans — Charlie Cox will reprise the role of Matt Murdock.
