A sunrise seen from space is what welcomes us into the new lyric video from CamelPhat and Mathame, for their melodic house collaboration, “Believe.” Out July 15th via Astralwerks, the single also pulls in elements of progressive house with a sci-fi twist—and the sonic journey is truly out of this world. As the video continues, spaceship imagery and glowing, alien-like mirrors appear, set to an otherworldly soundscape of echoing vocals and orchestral underlying tones. Cinematically, the pressure continues to build, until it releases with a fluttering techno beat and kinetic four-on-the-floor bass line. “After years of exchanging ideas, something unique clicked and led us in what we developed with ‘Believe,'” Mathame expounded on social media. The It...

Marvel has now been criticized by a group of VFX artists who have formerly worked for the studio over its poor working conditions and underpayment of staff. The flow of comments was kicked off by Reddit user Independent-Ad419, who started a thread titled “I am quite frankly sick and tired of working on Marvel shows.” The post went on to claim that “Marvel has probably the worst methodology of production and VFX management out there. They can never fix the look for the show before more than half the allocated time for the show is over. The artists working on Marvel shows are definitely not paid equivalent to the amount of work they put in.” The post spurred a lot of similar reactions from other VFX artists who have also worked for Marvel. Dhruv Govil, who previously worked on Guardians...

Speaking to Variety about the show in a recent interview, Schnapp said that Will being gay was hinted at as early as the first season. “Obviously, it was hinted at in Season 1: It was always kind of there, but you never really knew, is it just him growing up slower than his friends? Now that he’s gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing,” the actor explained. “Now it’s 100% clear that he is gay and he does love Mike. But before, it was a slow arc. I think it is done so beautifully, because it’s so ...

Roger Waters took his “This Is Not a Drill” tour to Canada earlier this month, where he apparently didn’t receive the love and attention he felt he deserved. In an interview with The Globe and Mail, the 78-year-old Pink Floyd bassist took aim at Canadian superstars The Weeknd and Drake, asserting that he’s “far, far, far more important than any of them will ever be.” Waters’ ego was bruised because no Canadian newspapers reviewed his two concerts in Toronto on July 8th and 9th. When he asked The Globe and Mail reporter Brad Wheeler about the perceived snub, Wheeler explained that The Weeknd — a much more popular act than Waters in this day and age — was scheduled to perform on the same night, and Wheeler was assigned to review his show instead. “I have no idea what or...
