Formula 1 Scripted Series With Driver Daniel Ricciardo in Development at Hulu
Hulu is partnering with driver Daniel Ricciardo to create a scripted series on Formula 1 racing, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The streaming giant has not yet revealed details on the forthcoming project’s logline, though it is known that the search for a writer is currently underway and that each episode will be 30 minutes long. The series, which does not yet have an official title and remains in its early development stages, is a product of Lionsgate Television as well as Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Phoebe Zimmer and Sydney Title of Temple Hill. After receiving an action-comedy reboot in 2011 starring Seth Rogan as Green Hornet and Jay Chou as Kato, The Green Hornet, which originally starred Van Williams and Bruce Lee, is now eyeing another reboot. While the rumors have yet to be confirmed, Deadline reports that the director of Saw and The Invisible Man, Leigh Whannell, is currently the primary candidate to lead the film. Cardi B has announced a new song with Kanye West and Lil Durk called “Hot Shit.” It’s produced by Tay Keith and will come out this Friday, July 1. An Illinois man has been arrested for threatening federal prosecutors involved in the New York criminal case against R. Kelly, a representative for the U.S. Department of Justice tells Billboard. Christopher Gunn, a resident of Bolingbrook, Illinois, was arrested on Saturday and made an initial court appearance on Monday (June 27) before Magistrate Judge Young Kim in Chicago. He was ordered to remain detained without bond pending a detention hearing Wednesday; the Department of Justice is seeking his removal in custody to New York. He faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
