Since its inception in 2007, Balaton Sound has continued to cultivate a one-of-a-kind festival experience which exists only in a lane of its own. Set to return June 29th to July 2nd in the scenic town of Zamardi, the fest annually offers a world-class lineup of electronic music artists and an oasis of a venue situated on the water’s edge of Lake Balaton, a glittering freshwater lake stretching 48 miles through the center of Hungary. Attendees of Balaton Sound, however, are in for more than just a music festival. Kacey Musgraves has shared a cover of Elvis Presley’s classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Her take on the ballad is the latest track from the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s new biopic about the King. Disco Great Patrick Adams Dies at 72

Patrick Adams, the disco engineer and super producer who helmed countless hits, has died, his daughter Joi Sanchez wrote on Facebook and frequent collaborators Denise Wilkinson (of Ladies of SKYY) and Austin Wilkinson confirmed to Pitchfork. “He who dubbed me joy at birth, taught me how to live in love, made himself unforgettable in every way to me and to so many others in the world. Lil Tjay Shot in New Jersey, Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder

New York rapper and singer Lil Tjay was shot in Edgewater, New Jersey last night, TMZ, CBS New York, and NJ Advance Media report. The incident occurred shortly after midnight last night in what police said was an attempted armed robbery. According to police, Tjay and 22-year-old Antoine Boyd were both shot at a local shopping plaza called 14 The Promenade. Tjay has reportedly undergone emergency surgery, TMZ reports. Mohamed Konate, 27, was arrested by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the New York City Police Department. He was charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and weapons-related offenses.  Boyd and Jeffrey Valdez, who was also with Tjay at the time of the shooting, were arrested for unlawful weapon possession. ...

Called the UMusic Media Network, the platform will give brands access to UMG’s inventory of music video content spanning all leading social platforms as well as UMG data and insights, allowing them to hyper-target audiences at scale. JR Schumann, senior director of country programming at SiriusXM, will exit his role July 15, the company has announced. SiriusXM’s vp, programming, Darrin Smith, will then oversee those channels on an interim basis. “After almost seven years, I’ve decided to leave SiriusXM and pursue other opportunities and adventures,” Schumann said in a statement. “I’m beyond proud of everything my team and I have accomplished and wish everyone at SiriusXM nothing but continued success.” Schumann joined SiriusXM in December 2015, and his role included overseeing SiriusXM’s country and Christian programming, as well as the Elvis Radio channel.
