Bartees Strange Announces First North American Headlining Tour
Last Friday, Bartees Strange released Farm to Table, his first album with the venerable indie label 4AD [and second overall]. Unsurprisingly, the album is great. Now, on the heels of that and a show at Los Angeles’ Getty Museum, Strange announced the dates for his first-ever headlining North American tour. The dates, which kick off with a stop in Pittsburgh on November 3, will see him perform with Pom Pom Squad, Spring Silver and No They Hate Change. Before that, Strange is headed to Europe for a three-week run beginning on July 1. He’ll then open for The National, Spoon, Metric and Interpol in August. Introduced during the same time as Riot Games‘ League of Legends and Valve’s DotA 2, S2 Games’ Heroes of Newerth was a major competitor in the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game genre. Developed as another reimagination of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne’s custom map Defense of the Ancients (DotA), the beta for HoN was released back in 2010 as a full-priced game. Eventually, HoN was re-released a year later for free to match the free-to-play structure of its competitors. ‘Gotham Knights’ Will Have a Surprise for Players That Choose the Same Character
Developers for the upcoming Gotham Knights game have hinted that the game will have a reaction if players were to enter an online game with the same character. In an interview with GameInformer, executive producer Fleur Marty and game director Geoff Ellenor said that the team is “leaving it up to the players,” claiming that some players would want to stand out from others. In contrast, some players “don’t care.” Co-op games will often allow you not to have the same characters or pay no attention to details that two of the same characters are present. Turnstile Extend Love Connection Tour With Snail Mail, JPEGMAFIA
Turnstile are extending their Love Connection tour with a host of fall dates featuring support from Snail Mail and JPEGMAFIA. The run resumes October 3 at Brooklyn Mirage in New York and wraps November 19 in Boston. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting tomorrow (June 22) through the band’s Web site.
